📦 Information We Collect

Splitlyn collects only the minimum data required to provide its core functionality:

• Name — used to identify you within your groups and display your name to other group members.
• Apple ID / User ID — collected via Sign in with Apple for authentication purposes only.
• Group and expense data — the groups you create, members you add, expenses you log, and settlements you record. This data is stored in your private iCloud account.

All your data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This means:

• Your data is private and stored in your own iCloud container.
• Splitlyn does not operate its own servers or databases.
• Your data is protected by Apple's security and encryption standards.
• Data syncs across your Apple devices via iCloud automatically.

🔐 Sign in with Apple

Splitlyn uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. Apple may provide us with a name and email address, but we only use this to create your in-app profile. We never store your Apple ID credentials. For more information, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

🚫 What We Don't Do

• We do not collect location data.
• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
• We do not show ads.
• We do not sell your data to any third party.
• We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone.

👶 Children's Privacy

Splitlyn is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
